New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5)

Insights: At 0-7, the Jets are winless and perhaps hopeless. Justin Fields, once again, finds himself in the middle of a quarterback…situation…for lack of a better word, while WR Garrett Wilson and CB Sauce Gardner — arguably NYJ’s best pieces on either side — have not practiced all week and are trending towards not playing pending their Friday practice status. Situationally, Jets make sense, but remember that one year the Browns went winless, yet every week, someone tried to tell you how NOW you were getting enough value to bet the Browns? To me, that’s how it feels with the Jets this week. Cincinnati’s defense is pretty rough, but is NYJ built to really exploit that? Potentially without Wilson AND Gardner, how are the Jets supposed to defend Ja’Marr Chase and then respond offensively to his inevitably-massive output? I don’t see it. I’d feel better about a flat -6 on Cincy, but the DK contest line is -6.5, and that’s the only way I could go in this one. Unlikely to be on my betting card though outside of maybe a teaser. -S

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -6.5
Confidence: 2/5
Anytime TD: Ja’Marr Chase
