Insights: While Monday Night Football was extremely ugly, especially when it was scoreless at half, I came away impressed with the Eagles. They stepped up in a big way defensively, and Jaelan Phillips looked like a natural fit in Vic Fangio’s system. Of course, the Lions are a bit more explosive than the Packers offensively, so SNF represents a different type of test. Still, I’m not stepping in front of the Eagles, especially against a vulnerable secondary like the Lions, even if they’re playing on a short week. For what it’s worth, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are 15-2-1 ATS as a home favorite of less than 6.5. -S
