Happy Monday to the Clubhouse Crew!

Already on to Week 10 here in the college football universe. The weather is getting colder, and the clocks move back this weekend. Depending where you are, it’s going to be dark by 5:00pm starting Sunday. Luckily, we have college football almost every day over the next couple of months to brighten and warm our days.

Let’s get to business. Here is the top 50 in my power ratings heading into Week 10:

The computer is all in on the Hoosiers, as they rise 2 full points to 2nd nationally. Surprised Vanderbilt isn’t getting more credit for its wins. LSU falls 2 full points. With Pribula out, Missouri’s ratings are going to be skewed for a couple weeks like Penn State’s were post Allar injury. BYU still 21st, but it makes sense considering the Cougars have played the 50th-ranked SOS. North Texas cracks top 50, Baylor drops out.

We’ve reached the point of the season where I start trimming the fat and evaluating more of a recent sample size than just the full season. I believe it gives you a more accurate representation of how a team is playing going into their current matchup, while weeding out some of the buy-games and other cupcakes. From here on out, I will evaluate the most recent 5 weeks for all of the advanced metrics.
